It’s on.

Tim Tszyu and Dwight Ritchie successfully weighed in on Tuesday (AEST) ahead of their blockbuster Main Event showdown at the ICC Sydney.

Ahead of their Wednesday bout, Tszyu came in at 69.64kg and Ritchie 69.40kg. The two will go head-to-head for 10 rounds with the WBO Global, IBF Australasian super welterweight titles, and a potential top-5 world ranking on the line.

Tszyu (13-0-0) is coming off a 10-round win over Joel Camilleri in May, and is eyeing big things down the line, including a match-up with Jeff Horn.

But Ritchie — the No. 1 ranked Australian super welterweight — is Tszyu’s trickiest opponent yet. The 27-year-old out of Victoria is 19-1-0, and also holds a win against Camilleri.

“I’m expecting a win — that’s all,” Tszyu said after weighing in. “I came for here for one reason, one purpose, and that’s to win.”

Ritchie echoed Tszyu’s sentiment, promising “victory, and that’s all.”

“I’m feeling really good,” Ritchie told Main Event’s Ben Damon. “Glad to get the weight off and ready to rumble.”

Ritchie added: “[This] means everything. Means everything towards a world title and that next step.”
