The hunt for the 2019 MLB playoffs continues on Sunday with an absolutely loaded day of action. Fifteen games are on the schedule for MLB DFS players to evaluate and big names such as Mike Trout, Ronald Acuna Jr., Javier Baez and Christian Yelich will be some of the most expensive bats available. Jon Lester, Jacob deGrom, Luis Castillo and Hyun-Jin Ryu, meanwhile, are some of the starting pitchers that MLB DFS players will have to pay up for on sites such as FanDuel or DraftKings. Before locking in your MLB DFS picks for Sunday, first be sure to check in with Mike McClure. He’s won almost $2 million in his career as a DFS pro and his optimal lineups, player pool and advice can help you crush your selections on Sunday.

When it comes to MLB, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure’s proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

He got off to a hot start in 2019, producing lineups on SportsLine that have returned as much as 30x in the first half of the season. He’s also finished in the top 1 percent of tournaments four times and the top 0.1 percent of tournaments twice this season already. He cashed huge in three consecutive tournaments in mid-June, which included a top 2 percent finish when his DraftKings lineup generated a whopping 185.9 points. He also had an optimal lineup on FanDuel that cashed 8x for followers right before the All-Star break.

Then on Friday, he was all over Albert Pujols at $2,800 on FanDuel. The result: Pujols hit a three-run home run — returning nearly 29 points and over 10x value. Anybody who followed his advice was well on their way to a huge day. Now, McClure has set his sights on Sunday’s slates.

One of McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Sunday is Red Sox outfield J.D. Martinez at $4,500 on FanDuel and $5,100 on DraftKings. Martinez is red hot in this series against the Angels with seven hits and two home runs thus far, providing some huge returns for MLB DFS players in the process like when he went off for over 60 points and 14x value on FanDuel on Friday. He’ll look to keep it rolling on Sunday against 22-year old lefty Patrick Sandoval, who has just one career start.

Part of his optimal MLB DFS strategy includes rostering Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius ($3,200 on FanDuel, $4,200 on DraftKings), who has recorded at least one hit in six of his last seven games. He has a great chance return big value as he takes on Trent Thornton (4-7, 5.55 ERA), a pitcher he’s hit a home run against despite facing him just twice ever.

McClure is also targeting an undervalued player who is set to explode for huge numbers on Sunday. The stars are aligning for him to return tournament-winning value and he comes at a price that won’t break the bank. This pick could be the difference between cashing in big or going home with nothing.
