It’s a huge night on Monday in the NL East as Bryce Harper and the Philadelphia Phillies return to his old stomping grounds and take on the Washington Nationals. The Braves, meanwhile, look to build on their 2.5-game division lead as they take on the Mets, who will send ace Jacob deGrom to the hill. Over in the AL East, meanwhile, it’s a No. 1 vs. No. 2 divisional battle when the New York Yankees take on the Tampa Bay Rays. MLB DFS players will be evaluating these games and others as they build lineups for tournaments on DraftKings and FanDuel. And before the action gets underway with the first pitch at 7:05 p.m. ET, first be sure to see what Mike McClure has to say. He’s a DFS pro with almost $2 million in his career, and his optimal lineups, top MLB DFS picks for June 17 can help you navigate all the action on Monday.

When it comes to MLB, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure rolled through last season, producing multiple lineups that cashed in huge.

He’s off to a hot start in 2019 as well, producing lineups on SportsLine that have returned as much as 30x. He’s also finished in the top 1 percent of tournaments multiple times and the top 0.1 percent of tournaments twice this season already. Anybody following him has seen plenty of huge returns.

McClure’s proprietary MLB DFS projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site. Now, he’s set his sights on Monday and locked in his optimal MLB DFS picks. You can only see them at SportsLine.

For Monday, we can tell you that one of McClure’s top MLB DFS plays is Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson at $3,200 on FanDuel and $4,600 on DraftKings. He’s been slumping recently, but McClure’s model says Monday’s matchup against Giants righty Tyler Beede (0-2, 8.06 ERA, 2.06 WHIP) is a bounce-back spot where he can return plenty of value. Pederson is hitting .244 with 18 home runs on the season against righties and he’s listed at a price that’s a fraction of some of the other top power-hitting outfielders on Monday. That makes him a complete steal.

Part of McClure’s optimal MLB DFS strategy includes targeting Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor ($4,100 on FanDuel, $5,200 on DraftKings).

He has at least one hit in his last five games and in eight of his last 10 outings overall, a span than includes four multi-hit efforts. And once he gets on, he’s a threat to get over. He enters Monday evening ranked ninth in the American League in stolen bases (9) after he swiped two in one game against Detroit over the weekend. With a .299/11/25 stat line for the season, and a matchup against the Texas Rangers and starter Lance Lynn (4.40 ERA), Lindor has a great chance to return value on Monday night’s MLB DFS main slate.

McClure is also targeting an undervalued player who is set to explode for huge numbers on Monday. The stars are aligning for him to return huge value and he comes at a price that won’t break the bank. This pick could be the difference between cashing in big or going home with nothing.
