Wings Forward Isabelle Harrison dropped a game-high 18 points in Dallas’ (0-3) 79-64 loss to the Indiana Fever (3-1) Friday night. Harrison’s output is the most she tallied since scoring 22 points on June 15, 2017 and it marks the 23 double-digit scoring total of her career. The Wings bench outscored its opponent for the third straight game and has scored 30 or more points in each outing this season.
Kayla Thornton was Dallas’ second leading scorer, collecting nine total points, and was followed by Allisha Gray and Kaela Davis, who each collected eight points. Harrison also paced the Wings on the glass, tying with Glory Johnson for a team-high seven rebounds.
The Fever jumped out to a double-digit lead in the first quarter, going up by as many as 10, and controlled the pace for the first half of the game. The Wings were able to cut Indiana’s lead to single digits in the third quarter and continued to fight for the duration of the fourth quarter, but late game rebounds by Indiana and a pair of Fever threes – Indiana only made three the entire game – were able to keep Dallas at a distance for the remainder of regulation.
The Wings travel to Washington next to take on the Mystics at 2 p.m. CT on Sunday, June 9. The game can be viewed on WNBA League Pass.
